With input from Collision Industry professionals, ComputerLogic developed the easy-to-use software program PMCLogic which enables collision repair specialist to properly track and invoice all paint and materials used during the repair process. PMCLogic calculates the estimated cost of all paint and materials consumed while replacing, repairing and/or refinishing each specific panel, and structural section of the vehicle, based on the most current industry pricing from hundreds of paint and material suppliers. Details on items generally used for each affected panel have been benchmarked by a diverse group of Collision Industry experts and are continually updated as materials and processes change. In addition, paint pricing is color specific; which increases pricing accuracy.

For the sake of honesty and fairness to both repairers and insurers, PMCLogic is dedicated to providing the most accurate estimated cost for all paint and materials required to properly restore the vehicle to its original equipment refinish standards. The outdated method currently used to estimate paint and material cost is based on a multiple of ‘refinish labor hours’ times a negotiated fixed “dollar allowance for P&M” and is universally recognized as being very inaccurate. PMCLogic takes the guesswork out of paint and material invoicing and replaces it with accurate data. PMCLogic provides an easy to read document that lists all paint and materials used to restore the vehicle to its pre-accident condition and provides the detail of where in the process it is used. Having an independent third party provide an unbiased and accurate estimate of the cost for paint and material will reduce friction between insurers and repairers and significantly reduce administrative cost for both parties.
